Subir al Sur is a reality thanks to the compromise and energy of its members, our local organizations, and the volunteers who take part in our actions!!!

Subir al Sur is an organisation which has decided that the economic base which allows us to work is created by the same people and organizations who make part of the change through our actions in our World!!!

For this reason, Subir al Sur is principally financed by the financial contribution of the INTERNATIONAL VOLUNTEERS and the ARGENTINE VOLUNTEERS who receive the support of Subir al Sur to realize their intercultural experience with our partners. We would like to give the chance to the people who feel this that this cause and our work is useful and profound for the young people of the World… to be able to give a virtual way make a donation

Subir al Mundo:

To ARGENTINE VOLUNTEERS who travel we ask for a payment of 120 argentine pesos to realize the inscription process in the projects in the rest of the World.

The contribution should be made when you go through the inscription process with:

participacion@subiralsur.org.ar.

International volunteers:

Mid/Long term projects (One month to one year)

The international volunteers who participate in our projects pay a one off participation fee to Subir al Sur in the on arrival workshop depending on your time of stay. (350 Argentine pesos one month, 550 pesos 2 – 3 months, 850 pesos 4 – 12 months) and then pay a monthly fee between 400 – 700 Argentine pesos to our local organizations which covers accommodation and administrative costs.

Intercultural Encounters / Workcamps

The volunteers pay a one off fee for the two week workcamps which is approx. 1000 Argentine pesos.

This money pays for the workcamp itself, 2 percent of this budget goes towards Subir al Sur’s administrative costs, and 2 percent to the local organizations administrative costs.

In addition to this we add in all donations which are made by shops, businesses, local governments, organizations etc… especially in kind (not money, but objects).

The budget is presented to the volunteers in the on arrival workshop as we promote the transparency of how the money is distributed.

Contribution Fee

The contribution fee of volunteers for workcamps is to allow for the development of the workcamp. The budget is divided as follows:

  • Accommodation
  • Food
  • Materials
  • Travel – facilitators/referees/evaluators
  • Communication
  • Administrative costs of the local youth group and Subir al Sur
  • Facilitation costs

The Mid term and long term volunteers pay a one off fee to Subir al Sur and then each month to the local organization. The fee to Subir al Sur covers:

  • Internet
  • Telephone
  • Coordination
  • Travel costs for institutional strengthening
  • Visits to the local partners in case of conflict with the volunteers to mediate and evaluate the situation or to run our yearly evaluation meeting together

The payment that the volunteer make to Subir al Sur allow us to run our projects, without this payment the organization could not exist, currently we do not receive any funds from the government. IN 2010 the volunteer’s contributions made up 48% of our annual budget.

EVS

We also develop EVS (European Voluntary Service) projects which are financed by the Youth Program of the European Union. In the case that we work with this project we receive funds from the above program in order to develop the project.
